Flower Tattoos, Designs, Pictures and Ideas

Flower tattoos can be beautiful, feminine and can have a variety of meanings. For instance, the Lilly is the symbol of purity and to some, erotic love. While the lotus flower is a symbol of good fortune, peace and re-birth. Creating a bouquet on the skin can make a many tiered statement of the individual who is wearing it.

For instance, a person who pledges fidelity to their first love might surround a lilac with ivy; or, a person who finds them self to be bold and lucky may make a chain of delphinium and stephanotis around their arm.

Flower tattoos are great for the fact that you can make them small and simple by using one tiny flower, or large and climbing. They can be bright and colorful, or dark and expressive. A most intriguing design is one with a tree with long branches in black, with red, blue or purple blossoms blooming from them.

flower tattoos You can connect the many meanings of flower tattoos with the symbolism of leaves. Though, in nature you may not see the olive leaf grown alongside a cosmos flower, by placing one of these blooms bursting in the center of olive leaves, you can express a feeling of peace.

It is also common to mix meanings of flowers with other important symbols. Flowers creeping around a religious symbol have always been a popular image in both art and tattoos. Flower tattoos can also be combined with zodiac symbols. Every sign has its own characteristics from color, to gemstones and also flora. Creating a delicate combination of star sign and their respective flower (Aquarius with orchids, Pisces with poppies, etc.) can make a statement of who you are, and can even be used to express love for those closest to you.

Whether your flower tattoos are purely for aesthetic purposes, or you want to create a deeper meaning with you design, it is always a good idea to see what they might symbolize. With the rich variety of flowers available, and the imaginative history behind them, you are sure to find something that is both appealing and meaningful.

Tattoo AfterCare

You must be attentive to your new tattoo, and keep it as clean as possible to ensure that it heals as cleanly as possible so you prevent infection and end up with the nicest looking tattoo possible.

While the healing stages of a tattoo will be as unique to each individual as there are people in this world, the tattoo healing process does follow a general pattern. The specifics of each tattoo's healing process will depend on the different skin type of the individual, the location of the tattoo on the body, an the techniques of the tattoo artist. These factors can all cause a variance in the healing process from individual to individual.

You will be given aftercare instructions by your tattoo artist. These aftercare instructions differ from artist to artist. My recommendation to you is if in doubt about anything, always go back to your tattoo artist before seeking the help of a doctor. Your tattoo artist can take a look at your tattoo and tell what to do if their is a problem to correct any healing problems.

If your tattoo artist cannot help, they should send you for medical attention from a doctor. If they do not, then of course, you must go yourself to make certain that your health is not at risk. This is your responsibility.

Many times doctors don't know much about tattoos and will prescribe unnecessary medications that may harm your tattoo's healing process. Some doctors may even be biased against tattoos. That is why I suggest that you go to the tattoo artist first if you suspect their is a healing problem with your new tattoo. The artist works with tattoos day in and day out and is familiar with the best way to heal their work.

Here are some useful tattoo care tips.

* You can take shower after you get a fresh tattoo on your body. But see that you do not bathe with hot water for too many hours. You should avoid taking longer baths, swimming in chlorinated pools or any contact with salt water at least 2 to 3 weeks after tattooing.

* Avoid direct contact with sun rays. Excess exposure to the ultraviolet rays can ruin the tattoo wound. If your tattoo is on a body part that is easily exposed to the sun, then apply sunscreen lotion.

* Avoid wearing tight clothes on the tattooed body part. Say, if you have tattooed on your foot, you should avoid wearing socks and tight footwear. Avoid any type of friction over the tattoo due to clothing.

* Never use alcohol based products on the tattooed area.

* Apply thin layers of lotion and ointment on the tattooed area. Thick layers can alter the healing process.

So, these were some suggestions on tattoo aftercare. Tattooing is not an easy process and you need to take special care to maintain the beauty and quality of this great body art. All the best!

Cool Tattoo Designs

Looking for cool tattoo designs is a pretty difficult task. I myself thought I was more of pain than actually getting the tattoo. It is just so frustrating to try to find a site where you can find a cool tattoo design that has plenty of options and great quality. I am going to help you change this situation from frustrating to fun in a matter of minutes.

The reason I even bring this up is I have been around plenty of friends who have struggled to cool tattoo designs on the internet. You don't hear many people talking about this however since most people go to the tattoo shop and pick one out of the selections they have.

This is what I did with my first tattoo and I really regretted it. My first art was just a generic piece that I am sure several others have. This is not the way to go about picking out a tattoo.

am a smart guy but settling on a cool tattoo design was something I never should have done. It is on my arm forever and there are many others out there who wish they could get their tattoo all over again.

Do you know why a large group of people are not finding quality, updated tattoos online? Well, if you're like me, I did a search on the search engines for "cool tattoo designs" and found a ton of galleries of endless designs. The thing is these designs were very generic and almost impossible to print out clearly. The sites that have fresh, updated cool tattoo designs are usually hidden deep in the search engines.

So how do you fix this problem? The first thing I did was stop searching on the search engines and joined many forums for tattoo lovers. This was great to find cool tattoo designs. You get to see where others are finding these cool sites and a lot of people post tattoo drawings for great ideas. Since then, I got 4 more tattoos and do not regret a single one of them....it was that simple.

So why settle for a generic tattoo that you have to live with when you can turn heads with your cool tattoo design that you found on these "hidden goldmines".
